festival of dangerous ideas

The Festival of Dangerous Ideas (FODI) in Sydney, Australia, is all about shaking things up. This annual event features speakers from diverse backgrounds tackling controversial and challenging topics. To reflect this spirit of intellectual rebellion, I undertook a marketing, digital and print collaterals project, crafting a minimal yet neo-modern brand identity.

Pops of colour and a textured, “noisy” aesthetic symbolize the birth of revolutionary ideas. Clean and straightforward A4 posters highlight individual events, featuring speaker names, dates, and details. For deeper exploration, a tri-fold brochure provides descriptions, QR codes for further information, and a timetable to help attendees navigate the festival with ease. This informative brochure even goes green – a custom artwork on the back can be transformed into an A3 poster, minimizing waste. Finally, the animated web banner packs a punch, showcasing key points and event details within a limited space, all brought to life through animation. Every visual element, from textures to patterns, was meticulously crafted for FODI, utilizing the power of Adobe Creative Suite to bring this bold identity to life.
